LogIn, Password, Username, Disabled and Hacked Problems

Note that iGrann does not control in any way Instagram user accounts. Only Instagram does.

Getting error “There was a problem with your request”

According to an iGrann user “Facebook won’t comment on the Instagram issue, but what I’ve learned from some developers who’ve dealt with it is that when Instagram tried to block some offensive accounts, they inadvertently blocked the IPs of lots of valid, perfectly fine accounts and are now scrambling to try to disentangle the good from the bad. They won’t admit anything because they’re already struggling to meet financial forecasts and don’t want any more bad publicity.”

Some user recommended solutions:

B- This is what another user with the same problem did to solve the issue:

  1. Log in through the Web with your phone or computer; go to your profile;
  2. click on setting;‎
  3. stroll down then click Temporary Disable My Account, complete the process then wait for some hours to enable IG complete the disabling process;
  4. log in through Igrann (it would be possible to log in this time) then link your FB account immediately (swipe down from top any iGrann screen, press Settings and then Link Facebook) ;
  5. you are all set, the next time to want to log in, just log in using the “log in with facebook”. However in case you have multiple IG accounts, you are to create another facebook account(s) and follow the same process with each of your account(s).

C- Another user solved it this way

  1. Delete app
  2. Restart phone
  3. Log in to instagram.com via browser
  4. While logged in to instagram, download app from blackberry world, then without closing instagram on web
  5. Open app and log in.‎

Please let me know if it works for you.

Not able to login or lost password

If your are having a hard time logging in to an existing account, try logging in directly on www.instagram.com to make sure the problem is not a wrong username and/or password. If you forgot your password and/or username, then you can use iGrann’s Forgot Password feature on the bottom of the login screen or go directly to the Instagram reset password page.

NOTE: to reset your password, you MUST have access to the email account associated with your Instagram account. If you do not have access to the email account, only Instagram can help.

For more login help, see here.

Login Required Message

If you get “Login Required” message:

    1. After this procedure, you will have to login to iGrann again. So, make sure you write down your username, password and email address associated with your Instagram account. If you are not sure, login to www.instagram.com to verify.
    1. log out from iGrann (swipe down from top of any igrann screen and press on Log Out)
    1. restart app

My Uploaded Pictures Disappear

Some Instagram users get their pictures deleted by Instagram for violation of Community Guidelines, for reaching upload limits or for unclear reasons related to their anti-bot efforts that seem to mistakenly block users/app/phones.

This is not seem to be an iGrann malfunction according to the users that solved the problem. However, there are some that we have not been able to help.

To check if this happening to you, try to login to iGrann, on your phone, with a different Instagram account and see if you have the same issue. If you are able to upload pictures with another account on the same phone, then Instagram is deleting your pictures on your existing account/phone. Also, you should be able to upload photos with your account from another phone.

Some users have solved the issue in the following way: login to www.instagram.com from your phones browser and change something in your profile (Ex: your bio, but NOT the username or password) and then log out. Usually, this validates your account

Most users with this problem have reported the problem going away after a few days. It seems to be a temporary block.

Cannot Delete An Uploaded Picture

You can only delete pictures uploaded under the logged-in Username. To clarify, the Username is NOT the Name. The Username is what appears on top of an uploaded photo.

If you have changed your Username by editing your profile, only pictures uploaded with your new Username can be deleted. If you want to delete pictures uploaded under previous Username, you must change your Username back to the previous Username to delete them.

Feedback Required message

Sometimes Instagram blocks certain users/devices. Hard to tell why.

Start with a clean install of iGrann: Follow These Steps

Then try what other users have done to solve the issue:

login to www.instagram.com from your devices browser and change something in your profile (Ex: your bio, but NOT the username or password) and then log out. Usually, this validates your account and the need for verification goes away.

I only opened and tried chatting (DM) and there you go, there was no more message popping up.

Install and Uninstall iGrann

Some Blackberry users experience problems uninstalling and re-installing applications on their device. The following is a compilation of the steps that have been successfully used to address these issues. Please keep in mind that the installation and uninstallation of applications is handled by Blackberry World and not the applications.

Also, many users have reported having to go through these steps several times before getting results. So, do not be surprised if your app does not open after the first try. Also, see the end of this post for other ways users solved the problem.

Before you install or uninstall:

1) Make sure you are on a strong WIFI or mobile network. The install and uninstall process cannot be interrupted. If it is, the results are random and most of the time produce problems. Ex: app installs but does not open properly.

2) Make sure you have the latest OS version for your device (Settings > Software Updates > and tap on Check for Updates)

3) Update BlackBerry World: Go to BlackBerry World > My World > My Apps and Games > tap on Check for Updates > update BlackBerry World if an update is available

4) Refresh BlackBerry World: Go to BlackBerry World > Settings (swipe from top to down) > General > Refresh BlackBerry World. Then open BlackBerry World again

5) Before trying any option, RE-START your phone

3) Tap on the More icon at the bottom right of the screen to open the right menu bar

4) Select Uninstall at the bottom to see the Delete from My World pop-up window

5) Tap on Delete (users reported this working better). If that does not work, then tap on Uninstall.

6) Refresh BlackBerry World: Go to BlackBerry World > Settings (swipe from top to down) > General > Refresh BlackBerry World

To Uninstall Option 2:

1) Launch BlackBerry World

2) Go to My World

3) Tap on My Apps & Games and select the Installed tab on top

4) Scroll down to iGrann and  tap-and-hold to open the side menu

5) Tap on the waste basket and then tap on Delete  (users reported this working better). If that does not work, then tap on Uninstall.

6) Refresh BlackBerry World: Go to BlackBerry World > Settings (swipe from top to down) > General > Refresh BlackBerry World

To Uninstall Option 3:

1) Tap and hold the iGrann app icon

2) Tap on the delete basket

To Uninstall Option 4:

1) Go to device Settings > App Manager > Device Monitor > Memory > iGrann

2) Tap on Delete basket at the bottom of the page

To Install:

1) Re-start the device and perform the next step

2) Launch BlackBerry World

3) Tap on Search icon (bottom of the screen), search for iGrann and go to the iGrann Client for Instagram screen

4) Tap on Download to install iGrann

Also, a few users tried the following with success:

  • Hi: I logged into my bbw account, searched for Igrann, scanned the bar code and kept the phone plugged in while I downloaded the app. I opened the app with the phone still connected to the laptop and logged in. It was at the login that I had trouble before, so I was skeptical. But the program didn’t kick me out at that point. I logged in and voila, the rest is history! All my news was there and everything!
  • I solve it, I will leave the steps that I made to solve it, this can help you in future cases similar to mine:
    1. enter to https://appworld.blackberry.com
    2. register with the BBID
    3. search Igrann
    4. click on install, and it will install the app again in your phone, here it does not work
    5. go to app manager>Device monitor>storage>Igrann>delete (wait until is finished)
    6. reboot your phone
    7. open Blackberry world
    8. search for iGrann
    9. install it
    10. and it over, the problem is solved
  • I finally got it to work. I long pressed deleted the app, waited more than 24 hours then reinstalled it. That method worked for me.
